Questions

Before you start.

What does the Citehound scanner check?

It reads your site’s public robots.txt, sitemap and homepage, then evaluates AI crawler access for 10 crawlers (including GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot), technical signals like canonical and structured data, and trust signals like heading structure and Organization schema.

How is the AI-readiness score weighted?

The score out of 100 is weighted across three pillars: Discoverability (40 points), Technical foundation (20 points), and Content & trust (40 points). Every check and its point value is shown in the report.

Is the scan free and does it require signup?

Yes, the scan is free and requires no email or signup. It runs in your browser using publicly visible site data and nothing is stored.

What does the scan measure, and what does Pro add?

The free scan measures readiness: whether assistants can reach and trust your site. Pro adds a citation check: ten buyer-style questions asked to Claude (ChatGPT coming), recording whether your brand is named. A dated sample, one run each; API results can differ from the consumer apps.

What do Fix and Beyond cost?

Fix starts at $299: a fixed quote after your scan, and the price does not change once agreed. It includes 3 months of Pro. Beyond is $490 a month with a 3-month minimum and limited seats, and it includes Pro. These are early-access prices and payments open soon. See the pricing page for what each includes.
