Reads your homepage’s title, description and language, then fills in what it finds. Nothing is stored. Skip it to start from placeholders.

JSON-LD

Copy includes the script tag. Download saves the JSON-LD alone. Check the result at validator.schema.org.

How it works

Three steps.

  1. You give it

Enter a domain and pick the type of markup.

  2. It does

The server reads that homepage’s title, description and language and fills the form.

  3. You get

JSON-LD you can edit and paste, with brackets where only you know the facts.

Why it matters. Organization and WebSite markup tells a machine who the source is. It is worth 8 points in the Content & trust pillar. See how the score is built.

Questions

Common questions.

What is schema markup?

Schema markup is structured data, usually written as JSON-LD, that tells machines what a page is about: an organization, a product, an article, a set of questions. It sits in the page's code and is invisible to visitors. Search engines and AI systems can read it without guessing from the layout.

Where does JSON-LD go?

Paste the script tag into the head of the page it describes. Organization and WebSite markup belongs on the homepage, Article on the article, Product on the product page, FAQPage on the page that shows the questions, and LocalBusiness on the page for that location. Most site builders have a field for custom head code.

Will schema markup get me cited in AI answers?

No one can promise that. Schema removes guesswork about what a page is. It does not decide whether an answer engine cites you. Citehound measures whether the markup is present, not what any assistant says about you.

What are the bracketed placeholders?

Anything the scan could not know, such as your company name, a real price or your opening hours, appears as a bracketed placeholder instead of an invented value. Replace each one before you publish. The counter under the output shows how many are left.

Next step

Paste the JSON-LD into the head of your page, then scan again to check it. Next, see whether your llms.txt is yours.

Use it from Claude. In the MCP server, generate_schema builds the same JSON-LD from a domain. See the MCP server.
